nihilistelektra:

it’s not a coincidence that peggy/angie was the most popular ship in season 1 of a.gent carter and then angie all but disappears in season 2

they keep their queercoded villain – dottie, who’s “evil with lesbian tendencies,” an easy-to-swallow subtext guaranteed to remain that way – but peggy’s wholesome potential romance with the diner girl is nowhere to be found. pretty much every recurring character who’s still living ends up in la with peggy – except angie, even though her acting ambition would be an easy excuse for her to be there. she appears once, in a dream sequence where she sings about how peggy has to choose between her two male love interests (who’s it gonna be??? hint: not the black guy, but that’s its own post).

it’s ridiculous and it’s bad writing – they spent so much time in season 1 developing peggy’s relationship with angie and then in season 2 she’s just gone. there’s not even a mention of peggy saying goodbye to her best friend/roommate when she leaves for the other side of the country. they’re kicking angie ungracefully under the rug while holding up a sign that says “peggy is heterosexual” in big letters jfc
